taking a longshot: anyone remove the handles on a GK MB2-500?

They might look cool and protect knobs, but it completely eliminates using a right angle plug on the input. It appears I'd have to open the thing up to take the left one off. Has anyone went inside one? Will I void a warranty?

I'm probably alone on this, I understand.

I took mine off my gk 1001. I would only do this if your rack mounting it. Dunno if you can with the MB2-500
