TB'ers, am I right to think that this bass is kind of a rip for the cost? Gibson Ripper body only with cracked repaired neck, $725 plus $125 shipping. I've shipped basses to Florida from Alaska for $70.

any bass you can't remove the neck or use a HSC will cost dbl. to AL and HI, the cheaper days are long over.
just tack on $200 to any purchase, needless to say I don't buy / ship amps any more...
Luckily I'm amp happy. GK heads a few cabs-- a couple Edens, a DNA DNS LowDown clone, and a GK combo that kicks butt. I think my next bass will be from Sweetwater as they offer free shipping to Alaska and a 2 year warranty. Doesn't get better than that. Also they pay shipping returns from Alaska.

But yeah, I have some old basses I'd like to sell. They'll be expensive to ship from Alaska. Might just donate them to a church or schools.
