Talk to me about HandBox WB-100

Some may know I'm in the market to buy an all tube head again. (Owned an Orange AD200, TE Hexa, Bassman 135, Fender 300PS, Ampeg V4B, B25B, and a few others)

With my BF cabs being 19" wide it really makes finding a lb all tube head that fits…..

While going down this rabbit hole search of finding a head that would fit there the ultra high end stuff that cost $5k + (which sadly isn't in my budget) and then I ran across

Handbox WB-100.. I've done some searches but much doesn't come up. Can anyone share their thoughts on its tone and volume?

Search TB. Reviews of the HB100 are +ve, but I'd be a bit concerned about service for an all-tube head made in Poland. If 100 watts would suffice, there's also the Traynor YB100. All that said, I prefer a Sushibox tube pre >>> Quilter head or my WD800 on top of my BF cabs.

The WB-100 looks so cool. They don't seem to be in business anymore. I'm also looking for a smaller tube amp like that. Heck at this point I'd settle for a modern class a/b amp in those dimensions.

I think you will find it to be quite a challenge, there are very few still being made, and fewer that when packaged will be 19" wide.

I agree. I just haven't found a small pocketbook amp that I actually like.
Maybe I need to try that new mesa. Lol

This one is 19" rack mountable with added rack ears. Different sources say 17.9" and 18" wide. It's not cheap .


If you want low power then look for Ashdown CTM30, LB30, and CTM30 Little Stubby. Also consider Ampeg PF20T and PF50T.

Yeah that's pricey!
I can't make do with that low of wattage. Id consider the Traynor yba100 but everyone posts it's not very loud.

I hope not since the maximum space between the rails is 17.75" and is often around 17.5" in practice. If the chassis is wider than this, the amp won't fit between the rack rails.
