As someone who's been part of a number of "internet communities", I just want to say that the recent change in TalkBass's site and forums is probably the first time ever I can remember where the change-over wasn't a serious downgrade. Nothing I care about got broken, and a bunch of little things improved that make it more usable. I understand that other folks may have issues, but as for me, thanks for not screwing this up!

Is there any update on the dark theme? Is there a timeline yet, or will it just be done when it's done?
Question, can a supporting membership be renewed before it's expiration date?
I keep getting led (via alerts) to renew my membership as it expires soon.
However, the page it takes me to only offers upgrades to gold level.
Am I missing something? Or do I have to do it post-expiration?

Also how do we close/lock a thread we started?
I have a club thread that hit over 1000.
I started a part 2 but I wanna lock part 1.

Since there is now a part 1 and part 2 of the thread, running and monitoring both could be quite the pain. #firstworldproblems

You have to do it post-expiration... but just this once. After this, you'll be able to renew/extend any time.
Is there a way to jump from Conversations (PMs), or other non-forum parts of the website directly back into the Forums menu? I tend to obsessively check into Recent Posts to see what piques my interest. Of course, breaking that habit would probably be a good thing.
On the top left set of tabs (Home, Forums, Media, etc) hover over forums then move to hover over the tiny arrow right next to the word forums.
A dropdown box will appear, choice on the bottom is what you're looking for.
I've noticed that online tags cause long usernames, like mine, to line wrap. Kind of annoying to look at. Staff members have a ribbon over the corner of their avatars, could the online tags be something like that instead? Maybe over the bottom right instead of the top left or something.
Or, if the online tags created an extra space if users have long names, that might work as well.

I'm reading this on Safari, and no matter how thin I make the window, I can't get your username to wrap. What are you viewing on?
Edit: When I made it insanely thin, both of our names finally wrapped. But surely at some point they must wrap?
I believe that you were, and when I made the window razor thin, your name got wrapped 7 ways to Christmas, and mine did as well. But in the shot you posted above, at that width, that doesn't happen in Safari or Firefox. I just scrunched up the window pretty good and took a screenshot, and here's what I came up with:
