Fabo, I swapped the tuners to hip shot ultralights to help it balance better, a common problem with Metros. Definitely has the Sadowsky sound.

Thx. It plays as clean as it looks, too. I got lucky with all of it. It's an Am. Special body w/ Greasebucket circuit. The birdseye maple neck with abalone dots really was what I had been dreaming of. Maybe someday it'll have a matching headstock.

Personally, I like the natural finished headstock with a maple board.

I traded my CAR Custom Shop '59 Precision with TalkBass user Lublin for this first-year '57 Reissue, CAR-over-sunburst. A great player and a real keeper.

That's a pretty interesting tug bar location. Is there a story with that?

The holes for the tug bar were on the body when I got it. For laughs, I put a bar in place, and its turned out to be a most useful placement. So much so, that I modded my backup bass the same way. Great for muted thumb picking or flat picking for rock & reggae stuff: fat & defined.

I modded my Lakland 44-64 with a bridge pup and a three way switch. I'm pretty pleased with the result.
