Tanglewood acoustic help!

Hi everyone,

I'm looking into buying an acoustic bass, I've tried a few, including some very expensive one and I found a Tanglewood model TW155-AB for 399$CND that seems not bad at all. I've played with it unplugged only and I was wondering what it sounded like thru an amp.? any of you guys is playing with this model?

Also, about this little portable battery Pignose amp. for bass, will it be loud enough to play along outside with two 12 strings guitar? I imagine it will be but I'd like your opinion..

Thanks!

I had a tanglewood acoustic bass a couple of years ago. I'm not sure what model it was but it had a particularly long neck, as opposed to other tanglewood ones with smaller necks. It was the first acoustic bass in my area so I jumped on it.

It was quite decent, had a reasonable volume unplugged and a decent tone plugged in as it had a fishman piezo.

The amp you mention should be fine to keep up with two guitarists unplugged. Bear in mind however that pretty much all acoustic bass guitars will feedback easily when amplified with amps, slightly less through a PA.
