TARA Labs cable challenge!!

I loved Gooseyards earlier story about electrical sound qualities perhaps he can give us an explanation or someone can as to how the reverse breaking in process occurs. A little story while we wait for the results....

But that is in fact the correct answer.....Yep, that'll do ................ there is another way of doing but posting details of the ritual is probably against TB rules, especially since one person has already tragically lost his knife.

Not to change the subject:
I towed my old van (behind a Ryder truck) backwards from Las Vegas to Miami (well over 3000 miles). The Odometer never rolled back.:(

Well, I know it's not a popular technique and some people even question if it really works at all - but I boil my cables. I think it may shorten the life span a bit, but it really freshens them up - gets rid of that "broken in" in sound if that's not your thing...

PhatBasstard - maybe you need the rear wheels on the ground to get the miles to roll off? In HS my buddies dad used to limit him to 25 miles per night in the dad's old pick up truck - when we cruied Main one too many times we'd go to the quiet part of town and drive around the block backwards untill we got the miles off. :D So your towing backwards should have worked, at least I would have thought...

They could freeze them to absolute zero, then microwave on high for five minutes, rotating once.

Dipping them in mayonaise does work though... but only with Hellman's... because it has "hell" in it and rock music is sort of evil. If you're against using the powers of the dark you can use nayonaise, the soy equivalent.

Guys don't power the microwave with the Tara cable. The one idiot that tried it put the second cable in, ran the proceedure, and when he opened the door, it has turned into a Beef Caserole. We are now negotiating the over the cost of what is essentially a $170 lunch snack.

C'mon testers. Hurry up with those results. Make me eat my words.

yes of course, it is actually quite a simple process. All you need is a phase inverter device. I manufacturer these boxes, using the highest grade audiophile connectors and components internally and enclosed in hermetically sealed CNC machined titanium case. The box requires a 5 volt DC power supply and sports a nice blue LED that indicates phase reversal status. I can get them to you for 500 USD. Because my circuit is patent pending and very proprietary, the components inside the device are coated with a chemical that will reduce them nearly instantly to bits if exposed to air, which we remove via the led hole with a special vacuum pump prior to packaging. This will also void your lifeteime warranty.

Anyway once you are using my phase inverter, all you need to do is connect the cable you need to un-break between the output of the phase inverter and your amplifier. You will need to play roughly the same material that you performed while testing the cable, in its entirety.

Frankly, I am surprised to hear that you have not been using my device already, which really invalidates the results of your t esting so far. I would recommend that you order the GoosePLex PI-1 immediately and rerun your tests. I unbreak my cables after every show because the tone of pristine cables is unmatched. Do not believe people who tell you otherwise.

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and I just want to say that I've been using the GoosePlex PI-1 for the past 10 years and it is well worth the $500. Cables that have passed too much signal have worn out electrons that simply cannot conduct the low frequencies that we love so much. Some may think that the additional four hours it takes to replay an entire gig through the PI to unbreak the cables is excessive, but these people clearly have ears made of stone. I repeat this same four hour procedure with all of my cables, as well as the wires inside of my cab and bass -- it takes about a week but you would not believe the tone I get! The Gods frequently come to my gigs, and last week Dionysius told me that my tone inspired him to invent the mosh pit. 'nuff said!

Cable breakin is just a myth- it's another trick of psychology that seems real, but has more to do with the fact that you've just changed something in your system than that there is some physical change occurring in the cable.

Particularly, I think the idea that breakin periods are slightly longer than the money-back return period for a product is pretty amusing :)
