I don't pretend to understand what it's like to live in an environment where you have to constantly seek approval from people who would judge you for making your own decisions, so I'll just leave out any advice regarding how to deal with your family. Instead, some basics about the long stretch of life that will render the past sixteen years to be almost forgotten and irrelevant.
You're still a kid; give it a couple years and then do whatever it is that you want to then. Just be aware that the life that you think that you'll lead probably isn't the one that you will lead, for better or for worse (OK, probably for worse; that's life). I happen to be a corporate wage slave, but I work in the video game industry, so while I may not be executive material (and it sure as hell isn't the ink that has anything to do with that!

), I can get by just fine with a few tats.
You, on the other hand, may end up in a career where they are detrimental. My ink has helped serve as a litmus test to keep me out of environments that would push me over the edge, but I'll never be the high dollar wheeler and dealer so it works for me. It might just screw you out of the opportunities that you discover you really want to be involved in. Get to know your adult self a bit first.
