I was in my accounting class today and got to thinking...

Can't you write off most if not all the expenses you come across on your taxes? All the wonderful gear, transportation to get to gigs... almost everything?

Must be nice ;).

Yup. But not 100% of it. If you spend $1000 on a piece of gear, there's only a certain percentage that counts as a write-off.

Records I buy, movies I watch, transportation, clothes, afro reduction surgery, you name it. It all helps.
