So I finally got it yesterday.

Despite the slow communication and the first one getting damaged in shipping, I'm real happy with it so far. I took it to rehearsal last night and was impressed. It's much lighter than my j and p for sure. A lot lighter - I haven't weighed it yet, but I'd say it's at least 1.5 lbs lighter than the jazz.
It still smells like glue and oil it's so new! The neck is fast and the controls are laid out well.
The good thing about the first one getting damaged was it happened before I got it so I didn't have to worry about sending it back or anything, (it just delayed me getting the new one). But, when I ordered it there wasn't a passive/active switch available, but mine came with that so I do like that for sure. I also like the fact that there's a master volume and blend knob instead of 2 volume knobs. Kinda makes me want to wire up my jazz like that.
I did notice some am radio station coming through the amp though! However, it was in a room we've never been in and with an amp/cab that I've never used before.
I don't know what strings are on it, but no matter what I don't really like new strings. Too bright and zingy, so I'm sure I'll like the sound of this bass more and more as time goes on and the strings deaded up a bit. The action is nice and low too. So much so that I think my j and p both need a setup now!
And I can't wait to bust it out at Healeys in Toronto on Dec 21!
