TBer MIA

Does anyone know @DirtyDuke IRL?
If so, is he OK?
He was a pretty much daily contributor and we were in the middle of a trade deal then right after Christmas he just stopped posting and responding to my messages. I don't care if he blew me off, I just hope he's OK. We gotta look out for our fellow TBers.

PM sent. Sorry. Life got in the way.

Awwwwwww. I love a happy ending!

Kinda makes me wonder - how many of you DO know other TBers in real life? Does anyone make an effort to meet others? Get-togethers (GTGs) have been a part of TB life though I think Covid put the damper on a lot of them. I've met some folks at those in the past, though I'm not really in contact with most of them on any regular basis. I am on social media with some of us (especially the other mods), and there's ONE other member I can think of that I occasionally get to hang out with irl (our wives were actually friends first).

I do know a few TB people in real life. I have met some at GTG's and others for other reasons like selling/buying a bass in person (it does happen) or just grabbing lunch. GTG's have been sparse but I hope they pick up again. I had to miss the last one because of scheduling. I live about 4 hours from my nearest group so it doesn't always work out.

Three... @Jeff Preston and @armyadarkness... so glad I did, too. Both wonderful people.

I still owe the former breakfast, and I'm way funnier than the latter.

Met another when I bought the USA Geddy off him, but at the moment can't remember his screen name.

@JJP_1984_LB50... there it is... super nice, but he no longer likes my coffee.

People come and go
And forget to close the door,
And leave their stains and cigarette butts trampled on the floor,
And when they do, remember me, remember me.

Some of them are old,
Some of them are new,
Some of them will turn up when you least expect them to,
And when they do, remember me, remember me.

Lucy you're my girl,
Lucy you're a star,
Lucy please be still and hide your madness in a jar,
But do beware: it will follow you, it will follow you.

Some of them are old
But it would help if you could smile,
To earn a crooked sixpence you'll walk many a crooked mile,
And when you do, remember me, remember me.

I hope all who have gone missing are doing well.

I know some folks just move on, for various reasons. Others remain more mysterious.
