Double Bass TC BAM200 with Barefaced one10? Would it be a good combination?

I have a One10 and have used it many times with a Tonehammer 500 and an older Rumble 150 for both BG and EUB. The One10 has some really good qualities, super light and portable, great for jazz or acoustic gigs, jams, etc, especially if there are stairs involved. It can take some eq and get loud. It is not terribly hifi and I much prefer my Berg cabs (CN112 and CN210), especially for EUB.

There is a Crazy 88 in the classifieds that would be interesting as a small and super light rig.

It's a 4 ohm so that would be better with the BAM 200, but even then it's really just a nice, little, portable amplifier with limited power. I have one around

that serves the same purpose as the new donut spare tires. There great if you have a flat, but you wouldn't want to keep them on the car for very long.

Just my take.

...

I have used my One10 with my Rumble 150 which is only 75 watts at 8ohm. But then mostly I have not been in very loud bands. But yeah, that head looks a little underwhelming, might be better to spend a few more dollars.

Laugh at the donut spare tires but my Miata has NO spare, just a can of fix a flat and an air pump. And of course thoughts and prayers.

And how about a TecAmp Puma 500 with the one10? I've found a nice deal for a used Tecamp..

That would be a very nice combination, and would work with a larger variety and size of groups. I've played briefly through one of the original "Power Soft" Puma 500's it

sounded incredible. You'll get lot better mileage out of the Puma than the BAM. While there's nothing inherently wrong with the BAM, 135 watts only gets you so far.

I had a TC BH250 into my One10 and it was plenty loud. Didn’t like how it sounds so sold it and got a TC Elf (which I believe is also 200 watts), which IMO is awesome with the One10. Use it as a small rig for home and little gigs, but I bet it could keep up with a rock drummer and guitarist just fine.

I just played a 500 seat theater, (Annie the Musical) with my BAM200 and a 210 portaflex cab. No problem with being loud enough. I can't wait to use it on the two upcoming shows, I should have two BC208 cabs by then.

My PF-500 was flipped inside the cabinet just in case. I never thought twice about switching it out.
I think having 210s was helpful in pushing a little more air volume. I am not sure a single 110 would have been enough.

I have used that combination, but TC doesn't really do it for me. I tried the BQ500 as well, but they seem to miss the "heft". I have settled for a Quilter BassBlock 800 with the One10. However, I usually take both my One10s because the sound is "big". I have had a Super Midget, but went back to One10s as there is something magical about them. I have an Acoustic Image Clarus series 4+ head as well, but the Quilter is my preference, it's warm, fat and clear.
