TC BH250 - Quiet Aux Input

Hello,

This is a great little smaller gig/backup amp, but I'm having an issue w/using the AUX input. The problem is it's WAY too quiet to be able to jam along w/any song. I've been using my practice amp (Fender Rumble 30) along w/my laptop, playing along w/mp3's, or sometimes Spotify. I've had no issues w/volume, and probably have the laptop volume half way up to get enough sound to jam along with. Using the TC, I have the volume cranked, and can't even begin to play along.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks.

Just a thought, but be aware that the aux is only only tied to the master. If you have the input gain high and the master low, you'll be boosting your bass and lowering the potential of the line in. If this is at issue here, lower the input gain (and possibly use the volume on your bass) and use the master to get an appropriate mix.

Thanks for the help here. I do have both volumes turned up, and unfortunately there is no way to adjust the input gain w/this amp (other than a switch, which I have set to active). However, drepper pointed out that the AUX volume is adjusted w/the master, so the best I can figure out here is to just turn up the master, and and turn down the volume on my bass.

It's worth mentioning to TC. I know this has firmware update capabilities.

Sorry, I read it as "BG250"...what I said doesn't apply to the BH250 (no input gain *knob*). And setting the switch to active is all you can do to pad it down.

Old thread revival, but I have the same problem. The aux in is pretty low gain.
Part of why I got this head was for the ability to input my laptop or phone into it and have a headphone practice rig. Laptop or phone cranked still isn't loud enough to balance with my basses.
I just did the current firmware update and it's still the same.

Turn your bass down? :)

Same issue with my BG250. AUX in is way lower than instrument input volume. I turn the volume on my iPod all the way up and have to adjust the amps GAIN to come *close* but it never really equals out. I think its just the way the TC BH/BGs are.
