Tc Electronic BG250 1x15 - Strange phenomenon

Recently I bought a used tc electronic bg250. I discovered a strange thing, I'm not even sure whether it is a problem or just the way the amp is.

SO when I turn the tone knob on my bass guitar, the sound does not change.
I'd like to emphasize that the problem is not with the guitar(s), or the tone pot, etc. I tried it with several basses, having the same results (basses that work flawlessly in terms of this with other amps).

This phenomenon tied to the amp only. The sound is like when the tone knob is fully turned up. But when I turn it down, the sound doesn't get duller, the treble doesn't get cut.
And I think the speaker isn't the one to blame, since it is the same when I use it with a headphone.

I already wrote to tc electronic, they suggested a software update, which I already did, but nothing has changed.

So the questions would be... do you guys happen to know what may be the issue here? Is it normal for BG250s, or is it definitely some kind of problem? Have you ever come across anything similar to this? Should I expect a high cost of repair (if that is necessary)?

That's weird! Only thing I can think of is, that for some reason amp itself lacks higher frequences.
Is the sound from the amp muffled? Are controls flat?

The opposite, it's not muffled, it sounds like the tone control is fully turned up. Doesn't matter how I change the settings (e.g. turning up the gain to have eligible signal, playing with EQs, turning effects off) this problem is always there. I can get a duller sound, but only by turning down treble and somewhat middle on the amp, but it completely ignores the tone control of the given guitar, which really doesn't feel normal.
