Do you mean sealed vs ported with a horn? I personally like a sealed 210 with this amp, but a horn would help with the highs since it doesn't have a ton of brightness, even with the treble dimed. How are you going about the build? Do you have different plans to follow that match up with these Harke's? Bass cabs can be tricky, esp if you have to deal with crossovers when adding things like compression tweeters/horns.

Can't help you much there. I would do a quick search on DIY 210 stuff to see if any threads pop up, then just start a new thread asking for help.

You can check speakerhardware.com and look at their flatpacks for Greenboy and Bill Fitzmaurice plans, which a lot of folks are likely to point you to for good cabinet designs backed by acoustic science. However, I'm sure there are people around here that have done something much less high performance and gotten good results and could help.

I just bought 1 a couple of weeks ago, and now Im a bit confused on what cabinet to be used. Not specifically buying 1, but Im goin to build 1, I have a pair of Hartke 10XL8 here, im a bit confused on what cab design should I make, any advise?

Hatke 210 XL is exactly what I use. Been using it now for 2 or 3 years. Sounds great and if I need, I can add a Hartke XL115 to add some real Boom...

I'm going to have my set-up in a basement room and will need to keep volume down to reasonable levels at times when family is home. How does yours sound with low volume? Still good?

Yeah. I mean higher volume pushes more air and the cab gets thumpier but I play at low volume all the time and it sounds fine. The key is setting the EQ on the amp. It doesn't need a lot. Also, I only use the Spectracomp tone print as a compressor.
