hello everyone
I want to insert in my setup an TC Electronic vintage compressor ([Invalid or Expired Link Removed] ) and I wonder if it can be used as a compressor on bass ? and if its working good ? if anyone is using it plz feel free to share your experience

I think it's the same circuit as the T-Rex Comp-Nova (TC and T-Rex had some products overlap for a while, same product with different packaging/branding)... and you can read my review of the T-Rex in the reviews page linked in my sig.

Did you not read Bongo's post about being the same as the T-rex compressor have you tried searching for that one? Either way you haven't read his reviews that's in his signature that should tell you all you want to know.

Sorry if this is a bit of a hi-jack but does anyone have experience with the TC Classic Sustain + Parametric pedal. How would these two TC pedals compare ?

I don't have that pedal, but I do have a T.C. Gold Channel preamp in my studio:

It features a full-function compressor setting called "Vintage Compressor", so that might be the same circuit as the pedal you're considering...? I love my Gold Channel, and routinely use the vintage comp setting for recording bass. As with any compressor, it can potentially squash your sound, but if judiciously tweaked, it makes that nice "expensive" studio sound. I've never used it on a gig. You can hear samples of what I recorded with it on my website (see link below).

I emailed T-Rex yesterday to confirm, and they just now emailed me back to say YES, the TC Electronic Vintage Comp is completely identical to the T-Rex Comp-Nova.

TC wanted to get into the guitar pedal market again after many years of only making the Chorus/Phaser. And T-Rex were(is) pretty succesful in making good sounding pedals so TC pays T-Rex for using the prints.

do you have any idea if TC Electronic are made in Denmark ? my guitarist have an rack delay and its made in taiwan I think ...but this comp is discontinued,so maybe (I hope) its an denmark made ....

FWIW, my brand new Nova Delay is made in Thailand.
