It is cool. But that is not how I have it set. I think I was just messing around, when that pic was taken.
For my jazz/ska band I have it set like this. With the freq on the bass set at 9 o'clock (140hz). and the freq on the high mid set to 10 o'clock(450 or 500hz I think)
And in my punky/rocky band
set like this. With the eq all at factory settings.
Just a hair of spectra comp for both.
Pretty handy having the pre sets. I just need to join another different style band for the final pre set.
All with a daion bass P/J. But I mostly just use the P pup
I tend to like a scooped sound for my bedroom tone. Personally, I've found that all the tweaking and making presets I've done over time kind of put me in a bad position, especially due to regularly playing in greatly varying environments. I found myself in a challenging room a couple of gigs ago, and in the hectic time to get going, I never felt I got a good sound. It's just not down to a science because I only play out a couple times a month. After that, I just blanked everything...everything back to flat and defaults. I've been trying to approach initial eq on the bass and then minor adjustments from flat on the head. So far, so good.
