Ok, so here's an issue I have regarding EQ settings.

Question for you question, peledog...have you tried the BGM "flat" settings?

I can't believe how loud this thing is.
It seriously can get annoyingly, ear thumpingly loud.

The range of sounds you can get is also astounding.
I am used to amps having their one main sound, but this thing has some big varieties in it.

I used my RH450 and 112 today for a jazz gig with a "Birth of the Cool" style Nonet, and got many nice compliments from the other players and University music students. Double bass and electric both do well with this amp.

If the minimum impedence of the RH450 is 2.67 as stated in the updated spec chart.... Why can't I use a Berg HS410 (4&#937 and HS210 (8&#937??

You should be able to do this. Jim's numbers are solid.

Saturday and Sunday football in the living room never sounded so good! Usually this head feeds a couple of berg 12s but I love this combo for small gigs and pit work. Try this combo out!

Hello everyone! Brand new to these forums I recently tested out some TC Electronic amps and cabs and was so blown away that I sold all my previous rigs and purchased two TC Amps (450 and a Staccato(got a great deal) and two 2x10 cabs. One for gigs and one for practice. I use Modulus basses.

This is the happiest I've ever been with rig. The sound is great, the cabs are uber responsive, and i can get my whole rig in the doors in one trip with no strain at all.

One thing I have noticed is that it clips at pretty low gain levels. I followed the manual for set up and increased the gain until it clipped and then turned it down a notch (before even turning up the master volume).

As of right now the gain is set a little bit below 9 o'clock (1/4) and it still clips on a regular basis. All of the frequencies are defaulted to the neutral position. I don't know if I'm doing anything wrong, but I've never had this issue before.

Am I doing anything wrong? Is there anything I can do? I'm having the same issue on the Staccato and the 450. Any ideas are appreciated

Nothing wrong, I imagine your basses just have pretty high preamp outputs. My EUB is the same, and I have the gain similarly set. Just think of it has having plenty left for anytime you need to use a lower-output bass. If you're clipping with most strikes of the string, even back it off a little more.

Depends entirely on your bass setup (preamp output, pickup/string height, etc) and playing style; there's no "right" dial position, or why have an adjustable gain at all?

Ok so just to be sure- there's nothing I can do to allow me to increase the gain without it clipping right? Wasn's sure if upping the compression would help.
