TC RH450 Club

I wanna join with my RH-750 ! :hyper:

The only pic I have:

In the picture I used my home studio gear to measure RH750's frequency response. I wanted to understand what the "tweeter tone" control was doing.

My rig is still under construction, I am building two "superfifteen cabs". They will be some sort of mixture of Greenboy's fEARfuls, Audiokinesis Thunderchildren and Alex's Barefaced in terms of goals and design trade-offs.

My great head has been idle for too long, I hope that I will finish EVERYTHING next weekend. In 9 days.

Probably I will start hearing my cabs connected to the amp this week-end.

I think the point is that there is an appropriate level for the gain that's just below the point that it clips. I can understand having a gut level feeling that it's "low," but what advantage are you seeking by increasing the gain?

If it's at the right level for your bass and playing style, it's right, right?

It's just odd seeing the gain knob that low lol...I guess it's no big deal as I haven't had to turn the master volume past 9 o'clock :)

How do I become a member of this group :)

I played a show with my newly acquired RS210 with my RH450. I went DI and used the RS210 as my monitor - and it was awesome.

RH450 settings - gain, 9 oclock
bass 1 oclock
low-mid 5 oclock
hi-mid 12 oclock
treble 3 oclock
tubetone 11 oclock
compression 1 oclock
master volume 11 oclock

I just gave it a shot. Yeah, not as extreme as I was thinking.
I just had a look at the frequency control map.
It looks like the flat factory (everything centered)settings are boosting 110 hz a fair bit, cutting 100 hz a fair bit, cutting 200 hz a bit and cutting 1600 hz quite a lot

Sure it is. I think that was established when the Staccato came out. I recently made an inquiry with a moderator about changing the title and was told that would require too much effort, so that's out the window.

But as a practical matter, much of the owner information/help than can be exchanged is similar or the same for all of the TCE amps, certainly for the RH amps, 450, Staccato, Classic and 750.

I think another practical matter of fact is that the groups for the individual models would be to small to effectively support really useful clubs.

So, in as much as there's nothing preventing it, the "RH450 club" is for all RH amps.
