TC RH450 Club

Got my RC4 controller and... nothing happens.
The display just shows "E_", that's all. No leds around any switch, doesn't mute, doesn't change channels, nothing.
It looks like it's got to go back... unless there's some kind of locking mechanism, but I doubt it, eh?
I was hoping to use it tomorrow :(

It should just be a matter of plug-in and it works, right?

Bummer. Per Donovan's comment, it could (and probably is the cable). It's a standard 5 pin Midi, if you can find another one (Radio Shack or whatever). If that's the case, I'm sure they would send you another cable.

Found new cable and tried it... same thing: it's not the cable :(
I'm clearly unlucky with TCE. I bought my RH450, and it died whilst powering it up at a gig 3 months later. TCE were fantastic and I got a new one on Wednesday (the gig was on a Saturday, so they didn't know about my problem until MOnday... incredibly fast, excellent service).
Now this...
In a previous life I must have been very very bad ;)

I think it can be "re-set"

I've had mine for a while with a footpedal and bag. I gig with a pair of Aguilar DB112's and it all works well together. I'm not in the slightest bit interested in replacing the DB's :)

I moved on from a LMII and don't regret it.

Can I join in?

Peter

The 450W is into 4ohms. Cabs are 8ohms but they do say you can use 3 which equates to 2.7 ohm from the top of my head.

All the info is on the TC site.

Peter

TC says you should treat the cabs as 8 ohm, and the head as 450W into 4 ohm minimum... however, because impedance not being linear across frequencies etc they claim that they know the exact specs of their speakers and that the RH540 can cope with three of those cabs just fine.
They don't say you could hook up just any 3 cabs rated at 8ohm each, and I am not going to be the one to test it
