I'm sure you could. The amp doesn't know what the cabs are. It just sees the ohm load. From what I gather the ohm load on the RH and K series are similar, if not exact. Take care

Yes you can. I've done it with 1 K212 and 2 RS210's just for the sake of doing it. Your amp does not know whether you are connecting into TC, GK, Ampeg, Genz Benz or whatever cabs. All it knows is that it is within the correct ohms and it is happy.
It's got nothing to do with knowing what type of cab you have. The nominal Ohm ratings of the TC RS cabs were somewhat optimistic. Hence why you can bundle three of them together and still have a functioning amplifier. The K cabs, from what I understand, are not quite so optimistic - their nominal Ohm rating is closer and they use a different model speaker.
That aside, the RH450 is class D, so you could probably still get away with a combination of RS and K cabs that add up to three without much of a problem. You might trigger the amp to halt the output if you mix RS and K up to three.

Nope, not really true at all. The RS cabs are 8 ohms as well as the K cabs. The misunderstanding came about because TC did not originally specify that the RH heads are indeed safe at 2.67 ohms. You can run any combination of speakers as long as you don't go below 2.67 ohms.

I love the tone of the RH heads - but misinformation is quite the descriptor when trying to talk about how these amps (and cabs) work.
On another note - When do you guys think there will be a revision of the RH line? They must still be selling well for them not to have changed.
Given the digital nature of the platform - I have always been keen to see/hear different sounding preamps using the same hardware.

It sure looks like they are selling very well. If you check eBay stores like ProAudioStar and Cobrasonics, they seem to be selling quite a bit regularly and that is only 2 examples.
Also considering that the RH450 is now in its 8th year of production, not too many amps last that long, should also say something about how it is selling.
I also am a little curious to see what they would come up with next, but in my opinion it would have to be really special to top the RH. The BH series are cool but do fall a little short in my opinion. YMMV.
Agreed about the bh series. The rh line has really helped to push the whole bass amplification world forward IMO.

I would love to download different flavours of preamp to the rh hardware- especially something more modern sounding.
I would also love a TC pedal with 4 or so footswitches that you could put 4 or so of any of their tone prints to. A whole pedalboard in one pedal. That would kill. No need for lots of knobs, just use editor software for in depth changes.

I don't like the knobs. I've had to replace them twice already in the last few years. I wish they were stronger.
That's about my only complaint. I love my RH450, and the BH550 as well. Going on 6 years playing with TC amps and cabs.

The knobs have been updated with much thicker internal nubs that look almost impossible to break. You would literally have to drop the amp face first onto concrete for them to break, and even then you would probably damage the internals more than the newer knobs. I also replaced mine almost 2 years ago and have not had any problems since. TC even sent me some for both my heads when only one had the broken knob issue.
Stupid question for you guys, I'm sending wanting to send the DI signal out to a board. Do I use the digital out or the line driver out?
I know I am very late to the party, but I picked up a used RH450 from another TB member earlier this year. I must say this is a great amp! I have owned GK, Markbass, Fender, Genz Benz, Ampeg, Hartke and probably others that I can't remember. The RH450 has the tone and features that I love!
It's just a great amp. No question. I'm right there with ya. Every time I use it I'm happy with it.
I sent a request the other day to TC for some replacement knobs for my 450. A couple of them have fallen off, I found them in my gig bag.
the response for TC has been confusing to me. They asked me to fill out a survey about my experience with their customer service, when I haven't actually had any service. they just replied saying that they can only support some of my amps potential issues, one being knobs.
I'll update everyone once I have a better idea of what they are going to do for me...

Are any of the online stores still selling it for those sale prices?
I purchased one of these brand new from a dealer a couple years ago for 50% off and got it for $349 shipped. That was a great deal and I used it and was satisfied for a few months. Only problem I had was I had to drop my sale price to around $300 shipped for the like new head, Foot controller and new case for it. They don't resale at all seems like. They re good little heads but have easily been surpassed by other Class D heads IMO.
Yeah, resale isn't good - unless you want to buy one. Then resale is great!
I disagree a little on the 'surpassed comment. Certainly in terms of power (forgetting about the APM for a minute), there are many, many class D amps out there that have a LOT more horsepower.
But in terms of tone - there isn't an amp that sounds lkie it. So if that sound is your thing - then it hasn't been surpassed.
BUT
I do believe that the rh450 and rh750 have been surpassed technologically by their own company - TC.
TC have developed one knob pedals that are more flexible (via software) than these amps. Despite being at the cutting edge in 2009 in terms of presets - these amps (whether you love the tone or not) are no longer anywhere near the edge technologically - and that is by TC's own standards.
Yip - in the amp world 3 presets is still pretty cool - but compared to the digital pedal/preamp world - is very limited. These amps are digital.
How many flavours of awesome can I download to the (very cheap and tiny) spectracomp pedal on the fly? Numerous. By comparison - I can only have 3 different versions of the same tubey, compressed rh450 tone on my amp. (I love this tone BTW)
I would love TC to just go crazy integrating the same sort of editing software into their bass amp line. Imagine completely different sounding preamp models, power amp models - all able to be downloaded to the amp and tweaked on the fly (like a regular amp), but then deep and full editing software as well.
