TC Spectra Comp

I’m no expert, but it sounds like your computer doesn’t ‘see’ your spectra. MS wavetable is your computer’s onboard sound card.
Maybe try the usual litany of restarting your computer, unplug und replug spectra (guessing it’s usb).
Also could be a missing update on the computer itself.

True that. Shoot. I'll try it. Hope i didnt mess anything up "updating" the synth card!!! :banghead:

That worked. A computer restart. Thanks dude!

TC site doesn't offer the latest firmware version. Follow this dropbox link.....

Dropbox - SpectraCompFirmwareUpdater-1.0.03.668.exe

Thanks to amper for sharing this originally.
Couldn't get it to do the update with my Surface (Win 10).
It would seem to freeze after pushing the green button.
Went through the same process with my PC (also Win 10).
Both Spectracomps updated just fine.

The one I'm using with a Onespot seemed to have the issue of occasionally
not remembering the Toneprint.
I don't believe the one being powered by/on my big SKB board has ever had the issue.

Seems a lot of users having this pre-update issue are using Onespots.

I agree TC's customer support doesn't seem to be the best.
Just read bongomania's "review" of this pedal on his compressor page.

I got the link sent to me through the support website and it seems to work just fine for me. However I can’t say I ever had issues with mine to begin with. It always saved the last TonePrint I put in it. But then I always powered it with an isolated brick or the like when it’s been on my board.

After some playing around this weekend I didn’t really get anywhere haha I also didn’t really “dig in” and mess with it. It’s harder these days to play with my gear just the way things are here lately. But I’ll holeully be able to remedy that in the near future. At one point I had turn the knob up higher after adjusting something and you know how there’s is lag when the knobs turns? Well I got the highest pitch of a squeal outta my amp that it freaked me and the animals out something horrible haha so I stopped at that point. Hopefully this week or next weekend I’ll have better luck. I’m gonna read up on some comp use. See if I can get educated more on what does what.

Update:
......you can't beam the toneprint if you're using a wireless system. I just discovered that tonight.
Weird- I use the Line 6 G90 wireless system and it works just fine. Maybe all wireless units don't behave with it.
Hmm....
I use a G30, but don't remember if I've tried the beaming with it (I don't use the G30 on every gig).
I'll have to check this out

This actually brings up a question I had. Using the toneprint app, I can't seem to beam to the pedal when using my Precision with GZR pickups. No issues beaming with my Jazz or Deluxe PJ. Anyone have this issue?

I beamed once or twice while using my Shure wireless.
As for the pickups, every now and again i have an issue beaming via my Brubaker, but i just double check everything is up all the way and pick the pickup combination with the hottest output. Seems to work.
Had the same issue with a friend’s Dussenburg. But we flipped all the switches until we got it to work.
