Team Trace Elliot pt4.

I realize this is probably a longshot, but does anyone happen to know where I could score two pairs of the port plugs? I’ve got a TE combo and extension cab, and I dig ‘em, but I generally prefer the tone of sealed cabs. I know I could go to Home Depot and probably snag something from the plumbing dept, but hey, what can I say, I’m an OEM kinda guy. And the foot switch! If y’all have a line on the foot switch, lemme know.

As promised, here's a picture of the original port plugs from the SMX cabs.

Just a basic 4" plastic bung.

Ok, I know this thread has been going on forever so it's probably the best place to ask. Thinking of getting this. Guy who has it says it looks rough..obviously..but sounds fine. What say ye? Comments and suggestions welcomed. Thanks!

I wouldn't play a 5string with that EQ at any volume. Lots of gigs it could do. Lots of gigs would need more cab. Those Series6 are supposed to be extremely reliable. In the US they are undervalued imo.

I had a 11-band Series 6 heads, a 250 and a 300. Beasts, both of em.
The 210, that'll need help to plumb the depths...

Guy's asking $299 for both.
I would say it's a great price but would take some cleaning up to take out in public maybe add a 15 to get SPL. Series Six was a great amp w plenty tone and power.

Take a good look at the bottom of the cab where the Tolex has come apart. The cab is MDF, and if there is any water damage, it might be a real bear to clean up, and may be literally falling apart.

I have a very similar rig that I completely recovered. It was a lot of work but came out great.
Medium density fiberboard is compressed wood fibers held together with a resin epoxy. It tends to soak up water and expand. If that's the case it will not expand further but will be structurally weaker. You can look at the wood and see a grain or not

Thanks all. May get a chance to look at it this week, maybe today. Even think he'll take a little less, which is great. Yeah, the peeling Tolex was also a concern of mine. Hopefully, it doesn't look too badly in that spot, and even if it's not perfect the deal is pretty good. I already have a single 15 cabinet, an old Traynor TS115 with an EV, which might work.
