TECH-21 SANSAMP RBI

What kind of sound are you looking for? What kind of cab? 10's, 15's, horn? I start with everything flat tonewise. If I want more grind I generally dail back the treble a little. The controls are very touchy. A little movement has a lot of effect.

Sorry, I should pay more arrention to what I read. I use a 410 cab as well. Also play around with the blend knob. If you dail the blend knob back you can increase your drive and it will be there but not as out front. I still haven't got mine dailed in as of yet. Lots of sounds to play with for what seems such a simple set of knobs.

This is key . It may seem a little dry sounding when by yourself but with a band it helps to cut through . Set it about there and then use the EQ to get your tone .

+1 biggest RBI beginner mistake [I was guilty as well] is running the blend at 100%

between 12 an 2 o'clock is best otherwise you lose all the natural tone (and mids).
