I bought a sansamp tech 21
And have Been using it on the last few recordings
My thoughts are this thing is really great for bass.
I have a Samson direct box and it was cool
But the sansamp is a beast
In the box comes the instructions with some recipes settings on how to get certain tones.
I have only used the first one which is called fat tube or big tube
All I know is that when I record people say wow you play bass really well.
It just and picks up my tone and makes it sound like it’s supposed to sound.
Currently I’ve only used this setting with my jazz basses but
I don’t feel a need to go searching for anything else right. Now.
I highly recommend this direct box.
Pre amp or whatever it is.
