No it hasn't a D.I.![]()
) and I'm stoked based on the reviews.Okay, so while I was typing the above, I thought I would try my Strat through the VT and studio monitors. After just a couple of minutes I decided I'm going to sell my Damage Control Womanizer (a guitar pre-amp and distortion unit with two 12ax7 tubes). The VT is giving me the guitard sounds I've been trying unsuccessfully to get with the Womanizer.

you could actually skip the di. the impedance is low enough on the output of the vt that they say you can run long lengths of cable and plug in thru the 1/4". of course that won't work with most snakes, but i guess you could buy a 1/4"/xlr transformer. for live work i'd use a di anyway, but for studio i just plug into the board.when i want to plug to mixer without an amp. what should i use?
(guitar-->efect pedals---->preamp pedal----->di box----->mixer)
will be this set up enough, or should i use a power amp.?

sorry...missed this before...This is all very interesting. I really don't like the sansamp bass drivers, but these are the sort of stuff I could use.
Has anyone compared this to the EBS microbass II? I know the EBS isn't really aiming for the ampeg crowd, but I'd be interested if anyone has any opinions.
I'm considering buying one but the thing is in all the audio samples i've heard it sounds very very muddy. Can it do sterile 'grit' tones?
