Technical help?

I have plans I am trying to translate to music. I, also, currently find myself without someone who can direct me as far as rig set up, recording, etc. I have been trying to learn using YouTube videos for the past year, but I just can't seem to grasp it. I play an Ibanez 5 string through PodGo into my Logic Pro on Mac. I also use active monitors while working with Logic Pro.
If there is someone interested in helping me so I can finally make music, I would appreciate all the help I can get. I'm not looking for someone to do it for me, I want to learn how. I wish I would have while I had the chance.

Ok, not clear what help you need. Sounds like you already have everything you need to do basic recording (Ibanez => PodGo => Mac with Logic). What do you think you are missing ? PodGo specs say it is act as a 4x4 audio interface to Mac/Logic.

I'm not a Logic user so I can't help very much there, but there are Logic users here on TB that can help. I'm pretty sure Logic has a drum machine and other virtual instruments you can arrange to create parts (keys/synths, guitar, loops etc.)

Perhaps you can be more clear about what help or guidance you think you need.

It sounds like you are wanting to make music with your bass and computer, not other people. Or perhaps doing some song-writing. Generally people use some sort of DAW software (free or purchased). It is basically a multi-track studio.

To have the computer write music for you, old-school there is "Band in a Box". There is also new AI software that writes songs, but I have not looked into that. Band in a Box works with DAWs. There are also DAW plugins that can generate tracks for you, generally one instrument at a time.

Some folks make songs by combining short clips (plenty of free and paid software to do that), but I think of that as more "DJ software".

My apologies for not being more descriptive. Let me explain.

I do have everything I need to write music. I had someone in my life at the time to make music with and to make sure my connections were correct, mixing tracks, etc. I did have the chance to learn how to do these things but just assumed that person would always be there with me. Well, I booted him out 15 months ago and have been trying to figure it all out on my own but are having trouble with some things. I do find people to help me in person, but they usually have ideas that don't involve music...problem is, I just want to make music. So while I would love to play and record music with others, I have not found anyone to do this with that wants to just make music. It's frustrating.
Anyway, the immediate problems I am having at the moment are:

1) I have expressions pedals that I want to play through my PodGo (I would prefer all analog, but can't afford it). I have Justin Chancellor's Cry Baby Wah, a Morley Man distortion boost and a Walrus Jupiter fuzz pedal. The original person had them all connected properly, but when he was gathering his rig, he messed mine all up and I have been having a hard time making it right again. I have watched countless videos but cannot find one in English on the connections. I am going to work on it again today.

2) I am familiar with Studio One and can move through the interface, but switched to Logic Pro. I have lots of questions, but really no one to ask. Specifically, I am having a few problems with EZ Drummer (changing the tempo speed after I start a drum track) and are having a hard time recording my bass track.

I guess I am just introducing myself as someone who is looking for help. I will start posting topics as they come along. Again, I am going to try to fiddle with those expression pedals again today. I'm just trying to make everything work so I can finally write that album. I would prefer people to write with me, but try to find people that just want to make music haha!!! I also want to mention that I do not want AI to write the music for me. I want to write it myself (or with another musicians).

Specifically, I am having a few problems with EZ Drummer (changing the tempo speed after I start a drum track)

Open the disclosure triangle in the upper left of the screen to expose, among other things, the tempo map. You place nodes on that line and can adjust the tempo at any point of any arrangement to any value you want.

Create an audio track by pressing the plus (+) symbol in the upper left, select audio track and assign the appropriate input from your audio interface. Adjust the gain on your interface as needed. Arm the newly created audio track by pressing the R icon on the track header which will then turn red. Press R on your keyboard, or click the record button in the transport bar at the top of the screen to begin recording from the current playhead position which will adjust based on how many measures of pre-roll you have selected in your user options. By default it's one measure. When you've completed your recording either press the space bar on your keyboard or the stop button in the transport bar at the top of the screen to stop the recording.
