Tell me about expression pedals please

It should be noted that the Line6 M5 (and IIRC other Line6 pedals with expression inputs) require...

...a TS cable 10kOhm.

Most every expression pedal on the planet works with TRS cables.

Haha yep I've learnt that one the hard way. When Line6 say "Compatible with standard expression pedals" in their manual they mean "Only compatible with six known exp pedals, two of which are made specifically for Line6's unusual expression implementation."

I suggest that whenever considering having anything modded, do your homework to see who does the best job at a reasonable price — locally. No point in shipping stuff off to someone far away if there's somebody local that's capable. If what you want done isn't available locally, well then go loco!

Yeah, "standard" – an outright #$%^&* lie Line6, own up to it!
Their manuals should say "Compatible with non-standard expression pedals".

Nonetheless, I still like my M5.

I'm looking for an expression pedal to work with my M5. What known pedals are you talking about besides Line 6 EX-1?
