tell me about my aria pro II...

Hi all

I just bought this aria pro II second hand but I know very little about it or, if i'm honest, bass guitars in general. Can anyone tell me what model it is, which is/are the active pickups, which knobs are controlling what, and anything else about my new guitar?

Your not giving us much to work with. This is an IGB though I don't know the model. I'm more of an SB guy. If the back has a second rout that is slightly bigger than a 9v battery then it is active. Nice looker though.

I'll guess it's an IGB-50 something, made in Korea in the late 90s or early 2000s. Treble, bass, balance, and volume controls.

As I'm currently in heavy Aria bass search mode and seriously keen to buy a few Aria integra basses, I can tell you that I once owned the passive version of this bass and it felt great but was very average sounding instrument. The pickups and bridge were really cheap/crappy.

I never really liked that Aria changed the headstock design on those basses, Aria basses are among the most perfect headstock and body design to my eyes.

I bought it new in Australia around 1999/2000 for about $300 - $400 back then.

I am really interested to know what would be results of a pickup and preamp upgrade for this bass?

There's an active one for sale on EBay now and it appears to have a much nicer finish to the body, natural no gloss. I am considering buying it to mod..
