Tell me your Ashdown horror stories

I've had my ABM 300 watt combo (with 1 15 inch speaker) for going on 4 years now, and apart from having a small hissy fit with a faulty kettle lead, has worked & sounded brilliantly, until recently.
Now all I get is a loud low hum, with no signal whatsoever coming out of the amp, i've narrowed it down to the electronics, as it ran fine through another speaker, I think it might be a blown transistor, but I'm not too sure . I've not been able to get it to my local guitar store as it's at the bands practice place in the next town, and as I don't drive, I don't particularly wanna lug it onto public transport. Anybody here got any idea what it could be?
Apart from this, I'd definitely recommend the ABM series
