I just had a full circle installed on my shen sb300. I am planning on buying an Acoustic Image Flexx preamp to run the full circle and my DPA into when they come out this summer. Until then, I need a temporary preamp for shows and am curious as what to use. I don't want to buy anything, luckily i have a lot of gear. I'm just not sure what will be my best option so i am looking for suggestions. I rarely use and amp and just go unto the board. Here are the options I am thinking of:
1 - just going straight into my countryman DI then the PA
2 - using my k&k rockabilly preamp i own then into the countryman
3 - Art tube V3 preamp I use for my DPA
4 - L.R. Baggs gig pro preamp then countryman DI
5 - pro platinum DI - not a fan of the fishman. Really last option
I also own a radial pre pz DI, acoustimax DI and venue DI but they are for the mando, banjo and guitar players in the band. I'd like to try those options but no love for the bass players
I'm not really sure how much tone shaping the full circle needs so any suggestions would be great.
Thanks
