Ahoy! A few months ago I posted about acquiring an Aguilar GS112 that had a weber bass 12 in it. Well, surprise surprise, it blew out. Only after the facts did I research this speaker. I figured whoever had it before me mustve matched specs to the old one, right? Wrong. The cab was supposed to handle 300W. The bass 12 handles 175W, and from what I've experienced, not very well.
I'm going to be ordering a replacement Aguilar speaker when I get home, as I pulled the Weber and did the 9v test confirming it's toasted. How do I test the horn and crossover to see if theyre still functioning properly? And please, dont come to Weber's rescue, or tell me to get a different cab or anything like that, I just want to know how to fix this. Thanks guys/gals!
