I have 2 Jazzes now and only 1 P--it's a USA Glaub with SD pickups in it, 4 year-old Labella flats. GREAT bass, as good a P as one could want, but I want another--a MIA Fender would suit me fine, whatever--I just want to have a J and P each with both flats and rounds---then I know I'm seriously covered . . .

Yep, I've seen him play one of just about everything out there. He doesn't discriminate, he's a badass on anything. Which makes me really scratch my head when people say they can only play a certain type of bass with very specific specs and dimensions.

The deluxe plus is a great bass, of course, if you accept that something can be changed since 1957...

I wanted to contribute to this thread with my Jazz Plus, which is basically a precision with a jazz pickup, but it seems that anything which diverges from the Holy Revelation of the P-Bass won't be accepted too well...
