I totally missed this. I know that there is some used, vintage Acoustic gear floating around Europe. I would check shops that sell used musical equipment and pawn shops.

im thinking i may build a 4x10, my other amp is peavey 1X15 combo, so id like my home built cab to compliment that amp aswell as the 370.
I think i'll wait in the shadows for an authentic Acoustic cab to come up for sale. Id much rather have the real deal then something i botch together.
if i post some pics do i get a fancy number?
Does anyone know what brand of speakers acoustic uses in their amps? I've looked at the speaker in my B100 and only see acoustic markings, no other brand name indicators.
acoustic makes their own speakers? Interesting, I really like the 15" in the B100 and was curious about who made them in case I ever wanted/needed to buy a 15" as a replacement for something.

10/22/2010 Update:
My Ernie Ball casters came Friday, and as mentioned above, they fit perfectly in the sockets already installed on my B200.
Too bad Acoustic Amplification doesn't answer their email support line... I've emailed them twice over 2 weeks regarding this and never got a reply! Love the amps, hate the customer support!
Yes I believe so. There are no identifiers and proud logo'd stickers on them - so what else can it be?
I tried to physically see if they matched or looked like anything that I could cross them to and no luck.
Normally there is a manufacturer stamp on the frame. If I recall correctly its two numbers. I've used the weber speaker site to find out who made speakers by checking these numbers to their list. I just can't find any stampings on my acoustic speaker.
I agree - no logos - stampings or decals - I don't even recognize the basket form as any one else's in the speaker manufacturers.
I'm looking forward to when my gets broken in a little more. I got my B100 on a trade along with some other stuff. I wasn't really in the market for a 100 watt combo, but once I heard it I knew it was going to be mine. Its great for around the house and even sounds good at low volumes. I doubt it will ever make it to a gig unless its a really small one, but for a good all around bass amp that sounds like this, its a great little practice amp. I'm going to be keeping an eye out for used B200's in my area, I think I wouldn't mind having 4 of them, two stacks of two amps for larger gigs (and stages) and just use one or two for smaller gigs. Plus, this would let me split my rigs between different areas we gig. SOme gigs are on my side of town, others are out by band practice, a 45 minute trip. If I can leave identical rigs at both place I won't have to transport gear very far to any gig we play.
I did open my unit up after I bought it to just peek inside.
My speaker had a white sticker on it that just listed the speaker as 250 watts and 4 ohm. I don't recall any other info.
I didn't know about a "manufacturers stamp" on the speaker itself at the time. So I can't help ya there.

I like your thinking though - a little heavy and cumbersome - but I still like it.
You might need a small pre-amp to send that split signal four different directions though. Just thinking ahead of the pack a little.

I do have a Planet Waves Y splitter, It takes one input to two outputs. can I use this for two basses into one amp using the volume controls on the basses to keep them quiet while playing the other?

I think one will bleed signal to ground when the pot is min'd as they are still hooked up to the ground circuit.

Who make a good Y-Stomp at a reasonable price? Is it something I can make myself? I can soldier and follow basic electric circuits.
Is it as simple as just mounting two foot switches in a box and using them top open or close a circuit?

I just got a B100 at GC new in box for $155. Rocktober sale, plus coupon. Been looking at it for a while, but that sale was too good to pass up - have to eat beans for a couple weeks....
Got to play thru it about 15 minutes, but so far, so good. As I wade thru the two separate threads, is there anything I need to know to do, check, etc on this amp? Or just play the heck out of it? First mod will be casters so my son can move it more easily.
Will be used for church, my son's rock band (classic covers), as well as our blues band that plays small venues.
We have a Yamaha 460 (I think?) and an Ibby GSR 200. The Yamaha is my favorite - don't know much about it - it was a gift and haven't found much info on it. Plays and sounds great.
