That is tough. I had a situation a few years ago where I was producing a radio show with an on air talent and and recording studio owner and engineer. We were planning to get on the air and have a syndicated radio show and we had hundreds of hours of material recorded and saved on computer hard drives. The studio owner passed away and his cousin did not know anything about all the work we did and she threw away almost all of the computers and work that was on them. Only a few hours of work were salvaged on a laptop and some tracks I had on my computer drives and we posted a few things on You Tube.
The two people who recorded the show theme song are currently in my band.
