The Bass I Still Want

I designed and commissioned this bass 15 years ago and the builder moved to Canada and ghosted me.
It's still a dream that I'd love to have brought to fruition. Any recommendations?

Looks exactly like the five string model made by Kodiak (Canadian boutique bass builder, been around for about 14 years).

I use a great luthier in Connecticut- Steve Balkun. He builds his own stuff, but maybe he’d be receptive to building to other’s specifications. I’m sure price would reflect the hours involved in a custom project.
Look up Balkun Brothers band.

If I were a luthier and a potential customer handed me a drawing like that, I would probably try to wriggle my way out of the association as well. My impression would be that this is a really difficult customer to satisfy.

Contact Chris Stambaugh. It would take some time, but I’ll bet he’d make it. He’s a great builder
