Double Bass THE BEST EUB

For all of you out there looking for a great EUB...after researching Luthier techniques, construction, material, sound, quality and engineering(Azola, Messenger, Clevinger to name a few)....I have come up to the conclusion that the best EUB in the Market is made by BSX Dino Fiumara.

Not only does Dino has the touch to know what you are looking for in sound(whatever your genre is), but he does great an awesome bass....

I been playing for 10 years and after a long break from the club gigs, I decided to pick up were I left, bought a double bass, but could not practically haul it anywhere.....so in search for a great EUB, found BSX's Dino.....It is the BEST, just call Dino and tell them I referred you.

I don't think you can have one "best" EUB - it's "horses for courses" - some sound more like an acoustic DB, some are not intended to , but give a completely new sound and playing experience, etc. etc.

To say that just one is best is totally meaningless IMO!

Best for what? :hmm:

Bruce, my apologies you are kind of right.....there is not best EUB, what I was implying however is.....that based on the material, construction, appeal, and sound and most important PRICE, currently in the market the BSX may be the best EUB.

I know Azola, and clevinger make an awesome bass as well, however for an average musician and aficionado, or a student that would probably need portability a Double Bass may be a good start, but eventually hauling a DB gets old.....bur primarily their prices are way too high.

Thanks...

Well if you had said cheapest EUB then that's a different matter - but then not everybody is constrained by price?

I love Eberhard Weber's tone - and I could easily say that's the best EUB I've heard, although a lot of it could be down to the player - but I have no doubt his instrument is priceless!! ;)

Thats funny. I don't think their prices are too high at all. I think them quite reasonable. Consider what one pays for a quality full DB. In fact, given the reasonablenss of their pricing, I don't think price should even be a factor in assessing what the "best" EUB is.
