The best European basses?

I think LeFay builds very good Basses. Reiner ist a very kind and comletely crazy, funny Guy.

Jens Ritter also builds very good Basses, but to me they are more Artwork. I would be afraid to go on Stage with such a Bass. I think they are no Workhorses.

Others are
- Hotwire
- Sandberg
- de Gier
- Van den End
- Celinder (wich I like most)
- Mayones
- GMR
- Bassline
- Bassculture
- Zola

How about Adamovic? Link Removed

The basses are absolutely stunning (I love the Orion) and Nikola's a rather nice gentleman.

I like his preference for passive electronics, since it's not always easy to find a high end bass without an active pre. I prefer the no-muss, no-fuss, no-hassles simplicity of passive, and let my fingers govern my tone.

I get the feeling once I can afford a high-end beauty, I'll go for Adamovic.
I love their take on the P-Bass, it looks really hip, with one of the nicest headstock designs I've seen so far! Too bad they don't seem to be making a fiver. :(

and Van Der End, who apparently does not need a website.

There IS a website--> Link Removed

These basses are really GREAT, tried one today at Paul's Bassmatters in Holland (wich is a really sweet shop, with ALLOT of basses) and it really hit me! going to get it next week, it's a 4 string fretless jazz, it's based on jaco and it's got allot of MWAH.

Can't wait to play it again!:hyper:

Hi, everybody!
Larrytron talked about the luthier Christophe Leduc, and I can confirm that he's making such beautiful and awesome-sounding instruments. I had a 6 string fretless one for 12 years, and man! What a sound!! What a design!! Check his site, you won't be disappointed!
