I bet everybody has seen the Far Side suck knob cartoon. If not, I have attached it below. I'll wait for you to look at it.....

I have always assumed that it is Raymond's last day, so he turns up the suck knob to get back at the band for past injustices. I base this on the slight grin on his face.

I have been told very forcefully, that I am wrong. Raymond turns up the suck knob and therefore is fired.

So I am putting it to a TB poll!

My favorite line from a sound guy: after 45 frustrating minutes of trying to fine tune the monitor mixes to each player's preference, listening to "can I get more ____ in the monitor?" .... he replies, "can I get more talent in the monitor?" :D

The reason he has that grin is because he thinks turning up the "suck" knob makes him a clever sound engineer.

He is about to find out that he is wrong.

I had the "suck" knob frozen with airplane glue, and we have never sucked again.

Plus, we fired Raymond.
