I live in Oregon and in the morning my radio is always set on 101.5 kufo. I switch it on in the morning during my ****, shower, and shave. The show that is on is the Vob and Tom Show. Usually they are ok for a chuckle and a couple news stories. But mostly it is full of what sounds like laugh tracks of themselves. They also talk really loud!!! then cone down to a whisper that no one can hear. And I, being a rocker in a band, crank it up just to hear the damn thing.

ANYWAY...

This morning. Same routine. But they were talking about celebrity rehab and how its not gonna be on another season cuz dr. Drew has too many other things going on blah blah blah.... Someone brought up that they thought it was going off the air because some died.

"some has dies while on the show?"
"yeah some guy named Mike Starr died."
"who's Mike Starr? Anybody know who that is?"
"no"
"nope, Nobodys heard of him? Prolly some nobody if we've never heard of him..."

!!!!!! FIRST OF ALL: respect the deceased. And second of all just because You don't know who somebody is doesn't make them a nobody. I was genuinely sad to hear he died as a founding members of one of the greatest band of my generation. And they had the nerve to **** on him like he was nothing. All just because he wasn't like the other sheltered, trust fund babies who can't figure life out on their own without mommy and daddy's approval and/or help. He was a rocker. And a damn good one at that.

**** THE BOB AND TOM SHOW. MY RADIO WILL BE OFF IN THE MORNING FROM NOW ON!!!

Morning talk shows are just shock jock to say the least. To bad these guys don't seem to have any soul.

They are mildly amusing, but the constant laughing drives me nuts. I can't listen to them.

Mike Starr died a few months ago. Why are they announcing it today? He was the original bassist for Alice In Chains.

Cool down. I'm pretty sure he wasn't on the show just to get sober. If people didn't want to put themselves out there for the publicity, the good and the bad, they wouldn't go on TV. I sure as shite wouldn't. He's dead, that's sad, but they're just shock jockeys. If you don't like them, then don't listen.

Bob and Tom is a seriously crappy radio show IMO. Its a bunch of nonstop laughing and shameless plugs for random comedians.

I actually like some of the songs and skits... or at least what you can hear over their own laughter. I bought a Bob and Tom CD, hoping I'd get the skits in a listenable form... No. Same crap, with them laughing over the top of everything. It's like watching Regis Philben "interviewing" a guest on his show. Constantly interrupting with his own stupid anecdotes or the random announcement that he just soiled himself.

Ugh! Mainstream morning entertainment sucks.

I listen to John Boy and Billy if I'm up and want a few laughs mixed in with music, but other than that, I either have the espn station/podcast on or a cd in.

Some of their shows are really funny, they are shock jocks..it is their job to prey on the shocking and absurd non-politically correct topics. If you want some good wholesome respectful content, then its absolutely not for you.

Haven't listened to 'em (voluntarily, anyway) for quite awhile now.
