THE BONGO CLUB (Part 2, 3 and infinity)

In'trestin'... So it's not just me or mine — the super-reactive neck is a common thing for Bongo. If I used a higher setup, I probably wouldn't notice the "ups and downs' so much, but that's the price to pay for low & fast. And the sheer coolness of the Bongo outweighs the inconvenience of weekly adjustments.

Amen to that! I also use a low set up on my Bongo 6...the adjustments are annoying but when the adjustments are finally done....oh man. So good.

Yay! Another naked Bongo (no PG) ! Love'em that way.

No question for me anymore. I'm an HS kinda dude. Feel it adds a whole different dimension for me. I'll use that pickup soloed. Never used the neck H soloed. The single coil sounds a lot more musical to my ears. But my ears ring loudly constantly so take that for whatever it's worth. :)
I always play my HS with the balance somewhere around the middle. The combinaison between the two pickups sounds so bada$$.

Haven't posted in a while... Just did some research i'm OG Bongo Member #13

Either way I got my Bongo 5 HSP Dargie Delight. I have seen a lot of pics of the Dargies and I haven't seen many they do the original color justice. Best finish I have ever seen and the martini inlays are so classy. This is Art!

sweet. I was really tempted to go 4H on my next musicman. lots of love for that modality on the other forum.
Yep... it starts at the very TOP. I'll be visiting the Bongo single H thread. The 4H gives me the "tone in my head" I couldn't find with the HH. I'm still keeping my eyes peeled for my dream spec Bongo... a 4Hp or 5Hp.

Nice score man! Congrats!:bassist:

Thanks... I'm really happy with it. It's an excellent complement to my other USA basses.
