Hello all!
If you are a bassist living in the Boston area, I'd like to call your attention to a new group called The Boston Bassists (evidently, from the title). This group is open to upright and electric (and of course electric upright!) players who are looking for a community.
There is no existing bassist community in the Boston area, and by starting this club T.B.B. is aiming to do the following:
1. Form a solid, active community
2. Establish connections between individuals (musicians, band to player, venues to artists, students to teachers, etc).
3. Act as an educational and experimental resource!
The group will get together occasionally to do everything from pig out, talk bass (pun intended), jam, go to local gigs and of course share own our crazy creations on the bass (contemporary techniques, new scales, luthier info, etc).

We don't discriminate based on age, experience... well, anything!! All are welcome to join us and explore the wonderful world of bass
