Rinse your hand under water and spread some of the water on the tortilla before you put it in the microwave.

I'm more of a taco guy. I'm not big on flour tortillas. Burritos are an efficient delivery system for what otherwise should be wedged into a soft corn tortilla, but the flavor isn't there unless the flour tortilla has been practically toasted (which brings out the flavor in what is basically a paper towel made of wheat), and that in and of itself creates certain logistical problems that make them less practical. So, taco.

Burritos are a lovely delivery system! My "check out the new restaurant" mean in Mexican places is a shredded beef burrito, deluxe and loaded.

BTW, this entire thread keeps reminding me of this Lewis Grizzard classic:
