found one of there locally and was wondering how much this might be worth and what would be a fair price. she's white and in excellent condition with the exception of a dirty pot. easy fix.

The cat bass, aria pro question

What's the seller's asking price? I don't think they are worth a whole lot. Some Arias like the SBs can get a little expensive, but virtually all the other models tend to sell pretty low...
I had a white one in the mid '80s, here's a cheesy pic of me to prove it!
The "Cat Bass" was an economy model, and won't command the premiums like the more expensive Arias.
But since I remember what a nice bass they were, I'd be comfortable paying a couple hundred $$$ if it was in very good condition. (IIRC, $200 - $250 was about the street price of what they cost new.)
Good luck, I'd love to see pics if you get it. Not many Aria "Cats" represented on TB.
I still own a Cat Bass I received in Germany in the 80's. It is a lower end bass and wouldn't command much $$$.
I don't really use it anymore as it needs work. Shielding, new pickups, pots.
However, the neck is still IMHO one of the nicer ones I've played.
