Hi all. Thanks for your responses, much appreciated. Charlie gave me some suggestions and I managed to sort out the buzzing by adjusting the screws in the fingerboard. I'm taking the bass for a setup in a couple of weeks, maybe a new bridge and I will probably replace the endpin too.
I have spirocores on it for the time being, but I usually use Pirastro Perpetual and like those strings. I wondered if anyone has experience of using Perpetual strings on a Chadwick and if so how they handle being taken on and off? Is the consensus that Spirocores are the most durable strings for this bass?
I also need to make a travel brace as my bass didn't come with one.
