The second picture is a recent photoshop creation. Seriously though... Krist is one sweet looking bassist. Especially with his Ibanez Black Eagle that he used earlier on.

He uses a Fender strap, I'm impressed. They're probably the thinnest straps I've ever come across, my Ibanez ATK, which was my only bass for quite a while was pretty heavy and it was pretty much unusable with the Fender strap I bought because it looked cool.
