Actually from past interviews that I have read Gene and Paul wanted to create the live band that they never saw. They liked the WHO's live show but wanted some thing bigger. Some thing with more spectical to go with the music. I am sure the money thing came later with Gene, once the band started making money, lol

Wow. Guess what, tough guy, hating one of the all time great bassists (generally listed in the top 100 of all time by his peers) will not make you better, nor will it make you rich and famous. Gene is an enormously talented individual, and...
oh, what's the point? You obviously were an abused child with no musical talent, appreciation, or taste, so you will not get the point herein. And that's just sad. :rollno: :scowl:

kiss.jpgThey struggled like the rest of us!! !Gene "dicovered" Micki Free from our band...he produced it and Micki went on to get a Grammmy for his work with "Shalamar" on Gene's dime!

For me, DTK, RARO and COTN favourite studio albums. Can never choose between Alive and Alive 2. However, Genes bass playing is great on all of them.

And here's something...I LOVE 'the elder', especially his echo scraping between verse lines of Mr Blackwell. Never heard anything like it.

Elder was a good album! Although kind of a little different style for KISS (concept album). I also liked the bass string scraping thing on Mr. Blackwell, as well. My old band (in Detroit) we fooled around with doing a heavier version of the song. Was fun to experiment with it. There music is always fun to play!!

I was not a huge fan of Dynasty. Then again I was really to young to have seen KISS in the 70's (born in 75). I discovered them in the mid to late 80's (my firs concert was for Hot in the Shade). First album I saw and heard was my sister's Destroyer album. Now that is one to discover KISS with, lol. So maybe it was diff for me cause I was not old enough to be there in the very begining then see my band change. I guess that is how I felt with Metallica though! So I do understand (I like the newest Metallica album). I guess I am just a die hard KISS freak though, lol!! Now some of the more seasoned/experianced KISS fans may like only the original albums/ line ups and that is cool. For me though grew up with them in the 80's. I would have liked to seen the Gene, Paul, Eric C. and Bruce line up in full KISS war gear! The Fox (Eric) and wonder what Bruce would have been? Wish I could have seen the Creatures of the Night tour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess every KISS fan has there fav line up and albums. I tend to like almost all the albums (Ace had the best solo) and any line up I can get ;)

I was made for lovin you sounds 10x better live. Preferably from the Phycho Circus tour.
