As you can see in the picture above, this bass has the passive tone modifcation. Each pup has an individual Volume and Passive tone control, which allows for a lot of variation.
I think you'll be happy with it. It sits perfect in a mix just as it is. Unless you really like a dark, muffled old-school sound, you don't need the tone knobs IMO.Mine is in the mail...so I can't comment on the volume/volume configuration yet.
