The DOD Octoplus is fantastic

I just got one of these. This is a public service announcement: It's fantastic!
It delivers a super solid tone, handles long sustained notes like a champ, tracks down to g or even f# on the e-string and even the open e doesn't sound half bad.

It does the OC-2 thing, but has a tone poti to change the midrange of the octave signal. You can go from super deep low end rumble to a square wave that really cuts through. I'm really impressed. Even the buffered bypass is okay (I needed a buffer in my setup anyway).

I wonder why there is not a big hype around this pedal yet. You can still get these buggers dirt cheap.

I have a Digitech Bass Synth Wah [BSW] to get that Octaver and other sounds. DOD and Digitech has a small but hardcore following and collectors ~~ now that they are essentially out of biz. Generally rock solid and each pedal has some special quirkyness to offer appeal so IMHO they are worth checking out and adding to your trick bag whenever you come across one in the wild. I dig all my pieces of DOD and Digi goodness.
The new management are doing limited runs of reissued pedals that are worth checking out at bargain prices. Currently it is the Invalid Link Removed
