*the doghouse*

Yeah,...when I get "in the doghouse" I tend to be too busy resolving the issue to be hopping onto TBOT.

Conflict resolution occurs pretty shortly after the conflict breaks out. We figure it out so we can move on with the rest of the day. Being mad at one another is not fun.

And as a husband,...I have my gripes as well. Those gripes also get addressed so it's not just a one way street.

Right after my wife had our first child together, she was crazy with post pardom depression which at the time I had no clue what was going on. The slightest little thing would set her off due to her body chemicals going crazy and then causing her to go nuts in the head. I figured that she needed to hear how she sounded so I secretly recorded her going off with a pocket tape recorder and then played it back for her.

This was not a good idea on my part...

 I salute you.

Hahaha. Oh man. That couldn't have gone over well. You can never win a battle against hormones with logic and common sense. :D

That's the truth. So I don't battle when that is happening. I just end the "discussion" and tell her very firmly that I'll be glad to talk about it when she is over the rant and can be objective. I always tell her when those times erupt, "Go ahead and get mad all you want, I don't care. I'll care when you can be rational." Did not have to do that too often.

You are my hero.
